How to join

New Senior members

Request membership online by using the Membership Form. We will then send you an email with details of how to pay on-line via debit or credit card.

New Junior members

From time to time we have to put in place waiting lists to ensure the coach to athlete ratios at training sessions are appropriate to enable the sessions to be delivered safely and effectively. Therefore prior to submitting a membership form for a new junior member please fill in the Prospective Junior Member Form

To try to avoid having to set up waiting lists we always welcome any parents who would be interested in becoming assistant coaches and the club will pay for the relevant Welsh Athletics training. Please contact us if you would be interested in this opportunity to support our young athletes.

We will require parent/guardian contact details for all junior members under the age of 18.

Membership renewals

An e-mail with renewal details will be sent out to all current 2023/24 members in April with details of how to pay via debit /credit card. Please also complete the Membership Form to ensure we have up to date details for both the club and Welsh Athletics.

Competing for the club

All registered junior athletes who are coached at the club are expected to be available for competition. The club takes part in the Welsh junior league (9-15) and is also part of a composite team in the YDL (11-15). There are 3 fixtures of each. We would expect juniors to be available for at least 3 of these.

In the winter season, all aged 11+ athletes who train with the endurance group are expected to be available for at least 3 out of 6 team based cross-country matches (5 x Gwent League and Welsh Championships). There are also further opportunities.

The Under-11 athletes are expected to compete in at least 3 out of the 5 Gwent League cross-country fixtures.

Adult runners of any ability, whether social runners or competitive runners, are welcome.
