Welsh Junior League
The Welsh Junior League is the main Track and Field competition for the younger athletes (U11,U13 and U15) in the summer. Brecon compete against other South and East region clubs.
Objectives:
To promote inter-club Track & Field competition for member clubs
To general promote athletics for age groups from U11yrs to U15yrs
To support the philosophy of long-term athlete development that is already promoted through Coach Education
To increase the number of athletes engaging with licensed competitions across Wales, specifically targeting under-represented group
To encourage the development of officials and volunteers within the sport
Fees and entries:
Athlete’s fees for league matches in 2024 will be £8 per athlete per match.
Athletes will enter the competition through OpenTrack
Age Groups:
Under 11 - School year 4 & 5 (have to be 9 on day of competition)
Under 13 - School year 6 & 7
Under 15 - School year 8 & 9
